"Fabulous Hotel with lovely staff and great facilities"

We had a lovely 4 day break at Highbullen at the beginning of August. We had all sorts of ideas for day trips but the restaurants were so good and facilities- indoor and outdoor pools, gym, spa, golf and lovely walks we actually saw no need to leave!!

We had a wonderful stay at high bullen hotel. Lovely stay, amazing food and a wonderful massage. The spa only got 4 stars as the changing rooms weren t great - but I know they are planning to do them up imminently. They are currently building lots of lodges for families and self catering - we would certainly be interested to come back with the kids! (Though thoroughly appreciated our first night away without them .ever!)
"Highs and Lows of Highbullen"

We had a three night stay in May. First the good points. Being a bit of a nature boy, the final 20 minutes of the journey were along single track roads. Nice and remote! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had dinner the first night in the gourmet restaurant and the food was certainly Masterchef standard. My wife regularly swims and was impressed by the spa.

Couldn't have asked for a better 3 night stay away from the hustle and bustle of life. The food was to die for (we originally planned to just eat on the first night, and then ate their every night!). Welcoming hotel, with friendly staff. The spa was great (but you need a coat as it's not attached directly to the hotel). Beautiful views over the Devon countryside and easy access to the beaches and towns of North Devon. A perfect experience.
