If you want a stay in an old type house with history then this is the place. Central to be able to visit lots of places such as beaches and country parks
"Disappointing after Lockdown"

Honesty is the best policy. I am a Maintenance Manager in a large city center 4 star hotel. I suppose you could say that I am more critical than others but if you are offering a package to entice people to use hotels again after lockdown, you need to be at your best. The property itself is an old building but from what we saw of it, the character has been stripped out of it. On arrival we were given the keys to Llft Room in the car park. The room itself was of good standard but tired and neglected. There were a few signs at 'reception' advising on what to do on check in with regards to covid but at that point it was too late as you were already in the building. I realize it is a small hotel and that everyone's time is at a premium but a bell at reception would at least let someone know that you were waiting. We did not have a problem with the room at that point but given what we paid for the package, a room in the main building would have been a minimum expectation. We had dinner booked for 7o'c so we went out for a few hours. On our return, we found that the bathroom had a serious leak. This was coming from the inlet to the cistern (Maintenance Manager) I put down towels. The bathroom strip light wasn't working and one of the bedside lights were not working. The desk in the room was in a bad way and barely able to stand on its own. We went to dinner and asked the lady who'd checked us in and was also serving dinner for extra towels after explaining the problem. She offered to go and mop it up but again, being a Maintenance Manager, I knew that it was containment and nothing else. The Dinner Menu for an establishment with a good food reputation was disappointing. While there was nothing wrong with the food it was very basic. Our allowance would have easily covered 5 servings. The atmosphere was that of a hospital canteen. While we have pared back on unnecessary items in our hotel, you could see that here, everything was still in place, but did not convey a homely or olde world feel. The leak by the morning had saturated 8 towels but at least it hadn't come out onto the carpet. I know things are difficult but our first outing after 6 months was a let down. Breakfast the following morning was adequate. On check out, we were charged for the 2 glasses of wine with dinner. In my hotel this would have been comped as a starting point. I didn't even ask as I did not want to be further disappointed. There was no apparent social distancing in the bar or restaurant. All in all, not good value.
"A great little place"

We stayed here after a few days in a rather tired boarding house in Tenby. What a lovely change. We had a warm welcome, a comfortable room (although a few more hooks and shelves would be welcome) and a very good dinner. Breakfast the following morning was plentiful and excellent.
