"Spoilt"

And that's what we were - spoilt ! The hotel is perfect and has lots of history - meals were many and all top quality. Main attribute is the warm friendly polite, professional and dedicated staff - all very courteous and striving for perfection ( and not far off) lovely people. Yes we were absolutely spoilt!
"Not what we expected"

In a nut shell, no water to run a bath, low pressure in shower it was like showering under a watering can. TV 18 maximum you could not read anything from sitting on the couch or the bed, menu incorrect in the room so what we were expecting to eat they informed us that the item had been removed from the menu sometime back. The steak was extremely tough and inedible. The tiramisu turned out to be chocolate ice cream with a coffee pot ??? The outside light kept coming on way after midnight lighting up the room This was no luxury. We wrote to the manager but a week on we have had no response

Not sure we stayed in room we ordered ending up in room outside main hotel . Staff very good and food excellent although restaurant very empty . Well situated for our trip to porthcawl

If you want a stay in an old type house with history then this is the place. Central to be able to visit lots of places such as beaches and country parks
