The Dining Room at Goldsborough Hall offers a sumptuous fine dining experience in the magnificent setting of a royal 17th century stately home.
The Head Chef and his talented team use only premium quality, locally sourced produce, including fresh herbs and vegetables from their own kitchen garden, to create dishes that consistently surprise and delight.
The Tasting Menu has been created by the Hall's head chef to allow guests to experience the finest local Yorkshire food coupled with the unique personal setting of the Hall. A new Taster Menu is created daily.
Whilst selecting from the menu enjoy a pre-dinner drink and nibbles in our Jacobean Library or outside on the terrace in the summer months. You will then be taken through to the dining room or Princess Mary Drawing Room, where your meal will be served, accompanied by your choice of fine wines from our cellar. Resident guests also have the opportunity of taking this menu in the privacy of the bedroom suites.
All food is sourced from local suppliers and prepared fresh on the day, to avoid disappointment we suggest that you confirm your dining requirements and any dietary needs at the time of booking.

The newly built Orangery is now open for lunches and afternoon teas.
The Orangery adds another dimension to the dining experience at Goldsborough Hall. This 1,000 sq ft space is the perfect area in which to enjoy some real family time for either lunch or afternoon tea followed by a stroll round the historic gardens. The Orangery looks out over the gorgeous private grounds of the Hall and has ample seating either inside or, in summer, outside on the Terrace.
Lunch is served in the Orangery from 12.00 to 3.00pm on Saturday and Sunday. Produce is sourced from local suppliers or from the onsite kitchen garden. Menus change seasonally and are accompanied by hand-picked wines.
Five courses - £55pp
In addition, Royal Afternoon Teas are served daily. Teas can be taken in the Orangery, in the Jacobean Library, in The Princess Mary Drawing Room or outside on The Terrace, weather permitting. Afternoon tea is served from 2.30 to 4.00pm Wednesday to Sunday and are freshly made to order. The afternoon tea menu changes seasonally.
HRH Princess Mary and her husband Viscount Lascelles lived at the Hall during the 1920s and the Hall remains a private family residence. In order to guarantee a table, reservations for dining or afternoon tea must be made in advance - thank you.
