The Falcondale Hotel and Restaurant Lampeter, South Wales

Had an evening meal and overnight stay on my husband's birthday as he had always wanted to stay there. Very relaxed, peaceful atmosphere. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

My two sisters and I treated our Mum to 2 night stay for her 80th birthday. Everything about our stay was perfect and couldn't have been better. The rooms were warm, and clean and the beds were really comfortable. We had prosecco in the rooms as part of the package, which was lovely. The food in the restaurant was excellent, and we were able to invite my aunt to join us on one night too. All the staff were lovely, especially our waitress in the morning. We would have loved to stay around the hotel and explored the grounds but we were busy visiting family. All in all it was a fabulous stay and we would all love to return. Perhaps we should take our Dad next time as he felt very left out! Finally a big thank you to Karen from offpeakluxury.com enough was so helpful when making the booking for me. Once again, for an Off Peak Luxury location, we found the staff to be very professional yet friendly and received a very good welcome to the hotel. Although only a 2-night stay we quickly became familiar with the hotel, the staff that looked after us and the superb location with views across the countryside.

The stunning location, views and grounds are absolutely fabulous. The Hotel itself is a delightfully characterful building and rooms are very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Staff unfailingly helpful and friendly. My only slight disappointment was with the dinners each evening. I have learned that I need to look more closely at your website in future! The sample menus for this hotel actually date from 2014! Current menus far less interesting and varied. Food was OK but not particularly gourmet or interesting and we struggled a bit to choose something on the second night. Wine list was OK On the other hand breakfast was superb - the home made bread was particularly good and again staff outstanding
