John W, West Sussex, stayed: July 2022
Stayed here with friends in two rooms for two nights on 28th & 29th July 2022. Slightly early as rooms not available until 3.00pm so sat out on the large terrace in the sunshine and looked down on the lake and beautiful grounds (11 acres) drinking Prosecco. Bliss. Rooms were clean and tidy with excellent views over the grounds. Restaurant was perfectly acceptable and the food and service faultless. The only thing I would change is to add a little further choice to the menu though although there are only four choices for main courses, one of the courses at least would be acceptable to most people. A little more choice - maybe two more items - would be nice. Food was to a very good standard and all the staff were very helpful during our stay. Take a walk up the very large gardens, sit on one of the benches and look back on the impressive hall and grounds - and you'll wish you could stay longer! We will be back - but next time for more than two nights.

Our break at Dumbleton Hall included the 'record breaking heatwave', and we have to say the staff were amazing! especially in the restaurant, where they managed to keep their cool.

Hotel was in a beautiful location with amazing grounds. However, the hotel was a bit tired and in need of redecoration and a deep clean.

Wonderful stay in dog friendly hotels.Beautifulanf peaceful surroundings and fine cuisine. Room was very spacious and had armchairs and settee. Only negative point was re shower. My husband is disabled and although the bath was low to step in for shower this was still too much for him. So a walk in shower is essential
