I have stayed at this hotel several time - it's extremely excellent value for money - the staff are friendly nothing to much of a problem - food included was good - but you can upgrade to a different menu for 25.00 - The champagne in the rooms was nice - late check out added bonus !

My wife and I had a two night midweek break, at DHH&S we were given a room up grade which was nice. The restaurant for the evening meal was ok we had a problem with the service which was rectified on check out. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful.

Beautiful location, lovely hotel. The staff were absolutely wonderful could not fault them, so very helpful and sincerely happy about there work. The room was lovely. the lighting was a bit 'Starship Enterprise' took some working out. Did not like the light coming on in the toilet at night, we did have to cover up the sensor,(removed it before we left!). All the rooms were fabulous, the big baronial hall was very cold, understandable, yes but the only other public room available was the Cocktail Bar and then you felt you had to buy a drink/drinks which did add significantly to the cost. All in all we loved it. It was a real treat for us, especially as we had our family join us for lunch in the lovely restaurant
