"Our favourite spa hotel"

We ve visited eight or nine hotels through OffPeakLuxury and Danesfield House is our favourite. This was our third visit for what has become an annual four night spa break in the rather dead December time before Christmas. The location is great with views across the Thames Valley and plenty of places of interest nearby to visit. The hotel is full of character, slightly eccentric and occasionally draughty and we love it. The spa is great. All the staff are charming and the service is five star. The restaurant offers superb fine dining. It s very likely we will return next year.

We stayed and had the most awful stay. Spoken to hotel only not to receive any support, followed up with an email and hotel are yet to respond, even though it has been over 10 days! Do not book or stay it was an awful experience, with no hot water, spa staff not calm and did not know what treatments we were booked in for, water in spa/pool was freezing cold and unable to use. The bathroom in bedroom mouldy and dusty. The bedroom basic and not comfortable. To add to this police were onsite with a rogue visitor whom they were trying to locate in the property and we felt very unsafe.
