Definitely be back, excellent find and package was great value for money. Off peak luxury team were brilliant in making sure my husband's special needs were catered to. All hotel very attentive and helpful. Thoroughly recommend.

This is a stunning property set in lovely grounds. We had a spacious 4 poster room with a huge bathroom. Overall well appointed, comfortable and warm. The various seating areas in the lounges and library are lovely with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Outside there are nice grounds and an impressive falconry. We were fortunate to see the birds out being exercised. We had dinner in the dungeon restaurant both nights. The pre dinner service in the Alexander bar was very mixed. First night it was very slow with the feeling of a lack of staff. Second night was much smoother. Food both nights was ok. The dungeon restaurant as a location is fabulous. Atmospheric and romantic. You are escorted down which is a nice touch. The dinner menu itself was a bit limited. Covered fish and game reasonably well but lacked any grill items such as steak or chicken. Presentation and quality was fine. The dessert course was absolutely the star of the show. Interestingly the earlier mentioned grill items appear to be available on the other Orangery restaurant menu which was not available to us for dinner. Breakfast on both mornings in the Orangery was bang average. The Orangery restaurant itself is lovely. Airy and views of the grounds. However the food let it down. For a luxury hotel there was a lack of generosity. We have never before had eggs Benedict that included only two spots of hollandaise sauce. Quality fine , generosity not so good. Same comment with fruit availability and the cooked breakfast options. Overall an opportunity missed in terms of food offering. Service was very good both mornings. Final comment is the sample menu on the website was not representative of the actual food available. Might be an idea for potential guests to phone and check in advance on the actual menu to avoid disappointment given the significant difference versus the sample. We will certainly do that next time.
