The hotel from the outside is not what it is on the inside. The inside is spotless and the gardens out the back are full of wildlife and lovely to sit there and watch in an evening. It was my 50th and lovely that I was left a happy birthday message with some cakes on arrival in room. We booked the suite which was beautiful but would of preferred a balcony with a better view rather than the car park. The reception staff were very welcoming and happy to help with any requests. All in all a lovely stay

Stayed here on a deal for 3 nights inc one dinner and breakfast. Nice setting with a lake but it is close to a business park. Room very nice, spacious and comfy king size bed. Food ok not big portions and not gourmet but still good. Pool is big and clean. Marlow is lovely. Good hotel to visit Henley and Oxford. No issues with service.

A wedding was being celebrated while we were there. We didn't hear a thing . Was appalled to see people walking around with no masks inside hotel. Didn't use spa because of this reason. Staff didn't approach them. Took a long time to check out. Only 2 members of staff working the desk.

We stayed at the crowne plaza reading east and it was so wonderful that we wanted to stay here as we were told it was owned by the same people. The room was lovely and the reception staff were really nice but that s about it. It s very overpriced it s much more expensive than reading east and it s no where near as nice. The restaurant couldn t really cater to allergies as it s all pre made and pre prepared so I didn t get to eat most of the meal that we d paid for as part of our package just a very generic and bland chicken breast with mash that they conjured up because I couldn t have literally anything else. When we stayed at the reading east location the chef asked which allergies I had and then just tailored the meal to omit those things. There were a few items I couldn t have but it wasn t the entire menu that I couldn t eat. It made me feel very unwelcome actually and ruined the experience some what. The spa wasn t very good and it was overcrowded and not welcoming either. Given the fact that COVID is still spreading like wildfire you d think they d limit numbers but no it was packed like sardines and we left and came back when people were at dinner and it wasn t emptier. The hot tub was so overly chlorinated it burnt my eyes and I had to get out because it hurt. It was also very foamy and needed it s chemicals checking because they were completely off balance.

The food, drinks and cocktails were wonderful. Staff very attentive. Hotel location on a business park just outside the town centre but this hotel does have a larger than normal pool
