Discover a Yorkshire take on contemporary British cuisine in a stylish, relaxed setting. Sourcing quality, locally grown ingredients is an integral part of the Amber's men, they work with local producers to bring to the table some of the best and freshest that Yorkshire has to offer.
The new dining experience is inspired by the progressive thinker and pioneering scientist Lady Amber Fitzwilliam, who ran her famous Thursday Club from the hotel in the early 20th century.
At Amber's they draw on the same meticulous attention to detail and free thinking that our namesake employed in her work to bring you contemporary Yorkshire dining with a difference in a superbly elegant setting.
Afternoon Tea
According to legend, Lady Amber Fitzwilliam's inner circle would often order pots of tea, finger sandwiches and scones after a long night spent debating the cultural questions of the day. Long-suffering hotel Maitre D' William D'arcy would always rush to comply, despite the unusual hour.
Nowadays thry offer a luxurious afternoon tea, at a more traditional time of day. Enjoy a range of delicious sandwiches, savouries and cakes showcasing the best of Yorkshire ingredients.
