Carey's Manor is a beautiful retreat in the heart of the N.Forest. We received a warm welcome and early access to our room was very much appreciated. The room was a little on the small side with no gap between the two beds so it didn't really feel like a twin room. Great to have a bath tub and the bottle of champagne on ice was a lovely touch. We ate in the beautiful Thai restaurant and the dinner allowance of 70 per couple covered two courses each. We only had to pay extra for the wine. Lovely pool, sauna and jacuzzi available at all times. We each booked a luxury treatment for the following morning in the Spa. The Mum's Experience massage was out of this world! However, having paid a total of just over 500 for our one night stay, including a treatment, we were miffed that we were unable to use the hydrotherapy pool and extra spa facilities unless we agreed to pay a further 39 each! That seemed rather excessive and unfair given that we booked spa treatments as an addition.
