Four of us were celebrating a special birthday for my sister-in-law, and we took her school friend along as well. Two nights at Burgh Island was perfect. The staff were all amazing, the food outstanding, the d cor delightful Art Deco, the trio were great playing 30's music on the second evening, and even the weather was good! A memorable stay, and mission accomplished, all at a reasonable price!

Although we are oldies, we had such a fun weekend. The decor was beautiful, interesting and tasteful. Food and service in the restaurants and bars was fantastic. We met lovely, like minded people to share our experience. First class experience.

Altogether a very unique experience. We found the hotel lived up to it's reputation and loved the atmosphere, especially the small island setting. The service, the cuisine and general comfort were all that we expected, and in some cases more so.

Our short break certainly lived up to expectations. The hotel is fabulous . The situstion is beautiful and the sea tractor takes you right back to the thirties to get you in the mood.Everything is immaculate and the attention to detail is amazing. Our room and bathroom were both lovely. I especially loved the art deco dressing table and all the lamps . It was so telaxing to sit on the balcony sipping the chilled champagne and gazing out over the sea. The public rooms are stunning too. From the moment we arrived the staff were wonderful .Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much. The food was delicious and we loved the ballroom which transported us to the jazz age. It was excellent value and we certainly plan to return for another escape from reality.
