Our North West England section covers the popular counties of Cheshire & Lancashire, as well as northern areas of Shropshire. Lancashire has miles of golden coastline, including the seaside towns of Blackpool and Morecambe. The Ribble Valley is a beautiful area of countryside with note-able walks and sculpture trails. Cheshire is a largely unspoilt county on the border with North Wales. The well-preserved towns and villages feature attractive timber-framed buildings in the local black-and-white 'magpie' style of architecture. Lewis Carroll named the 'Cheshire Cat' in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland after the county.
