The Cotswolds consist of charming and timeless English villages. The towns of Cirencester, Cheltenham and Gloucester are to be found within the Cotswolds, and Shakespeare's famous birthplace Stratford-upon-Avon lies just to the north. There are spectacular views to be had, particularly across the Vale of Evesham, and the pretty villages with their honey-coloured Cotswold stone cottages are a delight to explore. The many villages have retained their unique character, and are located within a relatively small area, which makes a visit to the Cotswolds a wonderfully varied experience.
