On arrival response from external staff was excellent. The receptionist were very offhand. Our bedroom had a crack in the basin and the toilet seat did not fit. Also large bubble in ceiling. Food I think was far too way out..We have dined at some excellent hotels where the food was far superior. I booked this as a birthday treat for my wife and did not come up to standard I expected and hoped for. Only good point was the staff in the pro shop and the golf course.. I would advise that we will not look to visit this hotel again.

The food we ate here was special, unfortunately the service hasn't quite caught up yet, otherwise I would have rated the restaurant 'excellent'.
