The reception staff were very friendly on booking in, everything was clearly explained. The room had a beautiful view of the garden and the river Tay. We couldn't get the TV to work as a radio, but we never asked for help with sorting it as we weren't that bothered. The dinner both evenings was spectacular, a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. Not being a great drinker I found the soft drinks limited, but the desert wines on offer I was tempted by. Breakfast was self service buffet style which was fine as there was a lot of choice. Various dietary requirements can be accommodated.
We had an issue with the room which was acknowledged quickly by the staff and we were offed a different room without hesitation. The walks around the grounds, along the river and the nearby Woodland Trust Bluebell woods were a delight. The location, though remote, still gave easy enough access to Dunkeld, Scone, Pitlochery and Aberfeldy.
