Romantic luxury country hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds
Facilities at Lords of the Manor
Recently Good Hotel Guide 'Country House Hotel of the Year', Lords of the Manor is one of the most acclaimed hotels in the Cotswolds. The setting is Upper Slaughter, a beautiful village near popular Cotswold towns such as Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.
The hotel has 8 acres of lawns and gardens and, perhaps above all, for the only Michelin-starred hotel dining room in Gloucestershire. Head Chef Richard Picard-Edwards delights with classically French-influenced food. The dining room is listed in The Sunday Times Top 100 UK Restaurants Guide.
Arriving at this honey-coloured stone former rectory is like stepping into a very good friend's house. According to the season, log fires crackle or French windows are thrown open to the summer air.
Many visitors find it hard to leave the hotel's home comforts, but can relax in the knowledge that when they do explore, the location is perfect. Gentle walking (wellies are by the door) or a little light shopping in picture-perfect Cotswold villages are the order of the day – plus all of the events, National Trust gardens and historic houses that make the Cotswolds the joy that they are.
